Bridges Infrastructure for New Jersey Airport

Focus: MEP (1,200 Acres)

Challenges: 

This project involves the construction of three new bridges (N57, N58, and N59), including all associated components such as foundations, bridge piers, abutments, approach slabs, ramps, retaining walls, bridge bearings, concrete decks, expansion joints, traffic barriers, light poles, and utilities. The utilities include approximately 20,000 feet of underground electrical and communication lines, 6,000–7,000 feet each of water and sewer lines, and storm pipes ranging from 12 inches to 60 inches in diameter.

Scope of Work:

  • Development of LOD 400 BIM models in accordance with PANYNJ requirements.
  • Creation of a comprehensive BIM Execution Plan for the project.
  • Coordination management, including meeting facilitation and attendance.
  • Remote 4D model development for construction planning.
  • Regular updates and maintenance of BIM models.
  • LIDAR laser scanning of the construction site.
  • Delivery of the final as-constructed model, adhering to PANYNJ review standards.

Results:

  • Creation of detailed LOD 400 4D models with monthly updates.
  • Delivery of a project-specific BIM Execution Plan.
  • Generation of a comprehensive Point Cloud using ReCap.
  • Final as-constructed model developed in full compliance with PANYNJ standards.
